Warning: There's a chance this article is going to jinx the absolutely stunning weather we've had of late. But before you preemptively put away your sundresses, shorts and flip-flops, try a little optimism and check out a few of our favorite outdoor bars in the Bay Area.

Anina

via Instagram

The vibe at this Hayes Street newcomer is quintessential Hayes Valley: refined yet fun and laid back. It’s a proper cocktail bar, but the menu puts an emphasis on refreshment, with spritzes, punch bowls and fruit-based concoctions. As much as we'll miss Flipper's, the burger joint that used to live at this address, Anina is a welcome addition to the community.

Where: 482 Hayes St., Hayes Valley, San Francisco
When: Mon.-Fri., 2 p.m.-2 a.m.; Sat. & Sun., noon-2 a.m. (patio closes earlier)

Mad Oak Bar 'n' Yard

via Website

We have a soft spot for large drinking spaces, and Mad Oak is one of those places that instantly feels familiar. There’s a rotating list of 40 taps (with local favorites like Almanac and Drake's), a pop-up kitchen, and a wall big enough to project movies and games. In addition to the roomy patio where you can kick back at a picnic table, there’s an upstairs roof deck.

Where: 135 12th St., Oakland
When: Mon.-Thurs., 3 p.m.-close; Fri., 3 p.m.-1:45 a.m.; Sat., 2 p.m.-1:45 a.m.; Sun., 1 p.m.-close

Park Chalet

via Facebook

We can't figure out why Park Chalet never quite gets the love we think it deserves. Hear us out: Grab a deck of cards or a couple of games and head to the grassy knoll to soak up the sun — as well as microbrews like California Kind and Presidio IPA, and cocktails like Beach Basil Ginger and three takes on the Bloody Mary. We'll plan your whole day in one sentence: Start with a coffee from Java Beach Cafe, hang out on the sand at Ocean Beach and then kick back on the grass at Park Chalet. If that’s not time well spent, we don’t know what is.

Where: 1000 Great Hwy., Outer Sunset, San Francisco
When: Mon.-Thurs., noon-9 p.m.; Fri., noon-10 p.m.; Sat., 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sun., 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
More info: 415-386-8439; Facebook

Bar Bocce

via Website

At Bar Bocce, the restaurant opens to a fire pit, multiple bocce courts and the marina. This one-stop shop for food, drinks, views and games is walking distance from the ferry, so make a day of it. Only the "Big Table" can be booked ahead of time (for groups of six to 13, with a food and beverage minimum), so plan accordingly if you're traveling with a crew.

Where: 1250 Bridgeway, Sausalito
When: Mon.-Fri., 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sat. & Sun., 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
More info: 415-331-0555; barbocce.com
