Had the setting sun tinted our drinks golden? We were having one last taste of the sea, before heading home, at Orfoz seafood restaurant. The table was arrayed with morsels fresh from the net –accompanied not by the usual raki but by pale-gold glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. Chatting to the owners, brothers Çağrı and Çağlar Bozçağa, we learned that they are so keen to wean us off our raki-seafood habit and introduce us to aromatic white wines that work a treat, they say, with their catch of the day, that they offer wine and food pairing lessons at the restaurant too.
