Beef chilli, halloumi and vegetables, pulled pork and chargrilled chicken breast: Along with traditionally hand-rolled, organic tortillas, these savoury fillings brought fame and fortune to the Baha Taco food truck. A permanent address on Grant Avenue was the next logical step. Now a recognised feature of the Norwood 'hood, the yellow umbrellas, red metal chairs, wooden tables and slatted benches have brought a slice of barefoot-beachy Baja to the very inland streets of Joburg. The Mexican street-food restaurant also serves up cheesy quesadillas, nachos, burritos, fish tacos, stuffed jalapeños and sweet churros with chocolate dipping sauce. Spice up your life.
