"It always seems impossible until it's done." Through his words and legacy, Nobel Peace Prize winner and father of our rainbow nation, Nelson Mandela, continues to encourage and inspire. His art has also been a source of brilliance, one you can access at The Melrose Gallery. It's currently hosting an exhibition honouring his work through a collaboration with prominent local artist Esther Mahlangu. Mama Esther elaborates on Madiba's five charcoal sketches illustrating South Africa's past, present and future by adding her traditional, vibrant Ndebele prints and paintings. After it's received enormous international acclaim, it's refreshing to welcome our art home. To Madiba's land.

Ndebele artist Esther Mahlangu's A Tribute to Mandela at Melrose Gallery.
It's an immensely powerful exhibition offering another way to experience Madiba.
