You've heard it a million times: You are what you eat. If you're anything like us, that might mean you're a granola bar grabbed in a rush on the way out the door, clutched in a fist alongside phone and keys. That urge to hustle can be hard to resist, but what if this year you slowed down? Bring mindfulness to the way you move and eat with our picks, below.

Eric Kayser Salad Bar

Known for its fresh bread and indulgent pastries, French bakery Eric Kayser recently introduced a new way of eating salads inspired by Parisian culture. In the daily rush of city life, salads are usually eaten on the go in plastic containers. But in Kayser's store in Amoreiras, you won't find any flip-top boxes. The salad bar gives you the option to compose your own salad or choose from a range of brightly hued premade salads, all chef designed.
