Wax Revolution

via Website

Okay, maybe it doesn’t feel like pampering to have hair yanked out of your tender areas, but you know it’s not that easy to find a really solid depilation service in this city. Wax Revolution's six locations in the city offer a clean and professional experience. Go in for a quick clean-up or a full-on Brazilian, and take a breath knowing that the wax used here is hard wax, meaning it’s a little less painful than the old-school kind. You can also neaten your brows (try the threading) and legs, and you can make pretty much any spot on your body permanently hairless with high-tech IPL technology.

Clínica de Salud Integral

Steps away from Coyoacán's bustling center is this unassuming treatment center. It may not look like a big, fancy spa, but the quality of the work speaks for itself. Deep-tissue massages, rejuvenating facials, teeth-whitening services, waxing, permanent makeup and even a hyperbaric chamber are offered for a fraction of what the swanky spas in Condesa, Polanco and Santa Fe charge. If you want to pamper on a budget (or perhaps just on a regular basis), make this your jam.

Mataji Ayurveda Center

via Facebook

Start the process of looking and feeling great from the inside out. Ayurvedic medicine is an ancient Hindu practice focused on the belief that every person falls into three distinctive categories of mind-body type, and that your type should be taken into consideration as far as what you eat and drink and what activities you do. Mataji provides treatments including massage, herbal and diet counseling, yoga classes, essential oil and floral therapies, system cleanses and individualized programs. Everything is aimed at restoring you to your best-functioning self and giving you the tools to lead a healthy lifestyle according to your unique mind-body type.

La Buena Vibra Retreat & Spa

via Website

If a simple afternoon at the spa just won’t cut it for you, take a quick trip out of the city into the mystical village of Tepoztlán, Morelos. In the foothills of some very steep and beautiful mountains (rumored to have been the birthplace of the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl), this boutique spa hotel offers a variety of activities besides relaxing by the pool and contemplating the natural beauty of the region. Yoga, meditation, massage, healthy food and temazcales (a traditional vapor hut that cleanses and relaxes) are all on the menu here.
