Dourgouti Island Hotel

Share culture, not war

Oh, no, you missed it! Subscribe to Savoteur to always get the scoop first.
You think you're a good neighbor. You never park anywhere but your spot. You throw your trash inside the bin. That's cool — but nothing beats what Urban Dig and performing arts company Ohi Pezoume are doing in a small 'hood in Neos Kosmos. The Dourgouti Island Hotel is a year-long project in the immigrant enclave of Dourgouti that aims to get the community to collect and map the shared culture with a series of events. It ends in November, so don't miss the walking tour of the area complete with dancers, actors, music and artists. The walk is split into three routes, each with 25 "art stops" inspired by the area's past and present. Go explore.
