Full of mystery and glamour, the spirit of partiers past is powerful indeed. Anita Berber was an icon of Weimar-era Berlin, a dancer/actor/writer/drinker who was also the subject of an Otto Dix painting. Now her ghost greets nighttime wanderers lucky enough to find their way to the club that bears her name. Combining 1920s art deco style and cabaret flair with contemporary postindustrial minimalism, this little club is full of ambience both at the bar and on the dance floor. Its snug size and unassuming location along a seldom-seen canal make it all the more intriguing, no doubt doing its namesake proud. Here's to you, Anita.

A club with an atmosphere and surroundings as iconic as its name.
