Talk of art and artists, as with many things, is often dominated by a cascade of male-centric cliches. But as the Berlin art scene shows, that's not at all necessary. Eris, an exhibition on May 4 featuring exclusively women creators, is centered around the idea of the Greek goddess of chaos and the many rich interpretations of her manifestations via visual art, performance, photography, music and fashion. That so many mediums collide is both an homage to rebellious Eris and reflective of Berlin's dynamic art scene. With a venue as interactive as the Urban Spree and a lineup of respected local artists, this show is certain to be a success.
