The 49th parallel. Yup, Vancouver is a loooong way from the South. But one visit to Railtown Cafe on a Saturday night, and you'll swear you're in the Carolinas. The cafe is hosting a tailgate barbecue on select Saturdays throughout the summer, hauling out a custom 12-foot smoker and barbecue barrel to serve up plates full of slow-smoked Southern meats. Feast on a smorgasbord of beer-brined chicken, brisket smoked for 35 hours (no joke!), pork shoulder, cornbread, potato salad, and corn on the cob — with Lynchburg lemonades to top it all off. Happening on July 4, August 8, September 12 and September 26, this tailgate will be cooking from 4-10 p.m., so grab your tickets now and join the party!
