Where there's smoke, there's fire. That's what it felt like when news of the closing of Hugh's Room, Soybomb HQ and The Hoxton broke. Fill up the blank spaces in your calendar (and indie-music-loving heart) at Stop, Drop & Roll. Opened in late December on the second floor of the legendary Rancho Relaxo, this old-new spot on College will play host to live music, album release parties, art and DJs. New owner Tina Sixx of The Blackouts hasn't changed the dark, grungy space except to add Clash-inspired art as well as art by Stu of Playdead. She books lots of women-led bands and hosts punk karaoke. And on certain nights, specials include $5 PBR tallboys and $4 shots. The indie scene lives on.

Stop, Drop & Roll is a resurrected spot for DJs, art and live music.
You miss seeing those under-the-radar acts.
