Some ideas are so avant-garde that they demand new words to describe them. That's the case at Lingenhel, which proprietor Johannes Lingenhel calls an "urban food workshop." Even that doesn't quite capture the ethos of this gourmet center. The space has a deli, a restaurant, a bar, a private dining space, a cooking school and an actual cheese factory where you can watch cheese age if you're so inclined. Stop by the deli for salamis, hams and cheeses from around the word as well as house-made brie and ricotta. Or sit down in the restaurant, where you'll be delighted by a seasonal menu with surprising amuse-bouches between meals, like caviar on roasted potatoes with smoky sour cream.
