Time travel is still not a thing. So until scientists get their act together, we have artists — specifically those at Secession, where exhibitions by Svenja Deininger (Echo of a Mirror Fragment), Gabriel Sierra (The First Impressions of the Year 2018) and Angelika Loderer begin today. Deininger's paintings capture the moment between becoming concrete and remaining indefinite. Sierra's work investigates perception and the human body (he once changed an exhibition's title every hour to mark the moment a visitor entered the gallery). Loderer uses cast metal and mould sand to make reflexive sculptures that create tension between permanence and ephemerality. It's not time travel, but it's close.

Secession hosts 3 exhibitions on perception, permanence and the ephemeral.
For Gabriel Sierra's fascinating approach to time.
