A midnight churro joint, a bookstore that sells wine, a bistro hidden in a designer's studio and a hip breakfast stop: Chacarita was already on fire, but now it can add a microbrewery to its blazing list of hotspots. And although Buenos Aires isn't exactly hard-pressed for breweries, the recently inaugurated Funes Birreria is Chacarita's very first. At Funes, the owners of Palermo institutions Soria and Festival have traded in their traditional cocktails for a renovated warehouse that houses a small collection of microbrews. Hop in for the generous happy hour and grab a coveted spot on the patio before the place fills up with the neighborhood's young beer lovers.

A new microbrewery in Chacarita.
Now you don't have to truck it to Palermo for a beer.
